Dear IACC Community

Pars Place Statement on Recent Posts - Let us be clear: IACC strongly and categorically condemns the killings and violence against the people of Iran by the current regime. We stand with the people of Iran in their struggle for freedom, dignity, and fundamental rights.

We have been deeply saddened by multiple comments and posts on social media accusing the IACC, a community‑based and entirely volunteer‑run organization, of being affiliated with controversial political groups. These accusations are patently false, and appear to be coordinated to damage our reputation, exactly when our community needs to see support and hope for our people.

We categorically deny involvement with any political organization or lobby. We are a non‑political, non‑religious organization whose mission is to support the Iranian diaspora and friends of our community through culture, education, and service. We ask anyone who receives such falsely accusatory posts to report them through the usual platform reporting channels as defamatory.

Some comments say our messages of support for the people of Iran have not been strong enough. You have asked us to do better, and we will. We apologize if our messaging appeared to some as too subtle. Subtlety in messaging is not the same as an affiliation with those responsible for the horrible murder and repression of our people.

Our center exists through the help of passionate volunteers, and is meant to provide a loving home for the Iranian diaspora in our area, not a space for mistrust and divisive language. Just as you have asked us to do better, we now ask you to do better as well: do not create division where unity is our power. If you truly care for our people, we invite you to put your energy toward creating a unified voice against the horrible human rights violations taking place in Iran.

In an environment where many have been conditioned to see power as the only currency, let us start from trust and support so that Iranians can increasingly see one another as “home.” We invite anyone questioning us to contact us directly so we can meet in person or virtually for a Q&A about what we do to support our community. We will soon post a separate statement, in strong and unequivocal terms, condemning the horrific massacres of our people and we continue to welcome your feedback.
