The Iranian American Community Center Moving to Larger Facilities byTysons Corner in the National Capital Region

The Iranian-American Community Center (IACC), a 501(c)(3), a non-political andnon-religious organization in Northern Virginia founded in 2011, today announced their
expansion and move to a new location in the heart of Tysons Corner. For the past eight
years, IACC has offered programs and services primarily serving the Iranian-American
community in the DMV, which includes Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of
    Columbia.

The new facility, which will continue to be called Pars Place, features over 9,000 sq. ft. of
program and office space in a location accessible to the Iranian-American community in the
    capital region.

“We are grateful to members of our community who have supported us and enabled our
expansion. We are excited to embark on the next phase of our journey and offer more
programs and services and look forward to fostering collaboration with other organizations
in the DMV, and serving as a gateway to Persian arts and culture,” said Mojdeh Bahar,
chair of the board of IACC. “The community center we have built together belongs to all
generations of Iranian-Americans and all those interested in this rich heritage.”

“We have had the honor of celebrating Nowruz, the Iranian new year, alongside numerous
dignitaries, and we have hosted world renowned classical and pop musicians,” said Dr.
Forough Parvizian Yazdani, a founding board member of IACC, and a dentist in Vienna, VA
who was born in nearby Arlington. “We have shown the smiling and colorful face of Iranian
culture to Americans of all backgrounds.”

“Over the past eight years in our facility, we have hosted hundreds of cultural events that
have brought together thousands of community members to celebrate old traditions, while
strengthening their bonds and friendships,” said Fred Aryan, an IACC board member,
entrepreneur and community supporter who is active in numerous charities and food banks
in the area. With a larger facility and an accessible location, we hope to enhance the reach
    of our programs.”

“The success of our programs is the result of effective teamwork and the servant-leadership
philosophy of our group over many years. For us success is not just how well you have
done, but how will you give back.” said Bita Golshan Lotfi, an attorney and long-standing
    IACC board member.
