Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 27, 2026

The Iranian American Community Center at Pars Place (“IACC,” “we,” or “us”) is a Virginia 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We respect the privacy of our community members, donors, participants, and visitors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (iacommunitycenter.org), online forms, programs, events, and scholarship applications, and how we use and protect it.

1. Information We Collect

● Information you provide: name, contact information, donation and membership details, event and program registrations, volunteer information, and messages you send us.
● Payment information: card payments are made through secure, encrypted payment forms provided by Bonterra (Network for Good and OneCause) and its payment processors. Bonterra keeps an encrypted payment token, not your full card number, which allows OneCause to complete auction bids and purchases at fundraising events such as our gala using a card on file. IACC does not store full credit card or bank account numbers in its own systems, and Network for Good adheres to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
● Scholarship applications: see Section 6.
● Website usage information: our website, hosted by Nickelbronx, uses Google Analytics to collect information such as pages visited, browser and device type, approximate location, and referring website. See Section 4.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to process donations and provide tax receipts; register participants for programs and events; communicate about our programs, events, and fundraising (you may opt out at any time); review scholarship applications; improve our website and services; and meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We use personal information to process donations and provide tax receipts; register participants for programs and events; communicate about our programs, events, and fundraising (you may opt out at any time); review scholarship applications; improve our website and services; and meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations.
● With service providers that help us operate, including Bonterra, through its Network for Good platform (donations, registrations, and donor management) and its OneCause platform (fundraising events); Nickelbronx, our website host; and Google. IACC shares information with these providers only so they can perform services for IACC, and we do not authorize them to sell it or use it to market to you on their own behalf. IACC does not use Bonterra’s advertising features. Information you submit on Bonterra-hosted pages, including Network for Good and OneCause, is also governed by Bonterra’s privacy policy (bonterratech.com/legal/privacy-policy), which describes Bonterra’s own use of cookies and de-identified data. In addition, Nickelbronx does not have access to the data in Bonterra, but only to visitor names and email addresses for those visitors who have registered to receive our email updates.
● When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of IACC, our participants, or others.

4. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, noting that Google Analytics anonymizes visitor information and uses such information in the aggregate. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Donation and event pages hosted by Bonterra (Network for Good and OneCause) use Bonterra’s own cookies, including advertising cookies, which you can manage through Bonterra’s cookie settings.

5. Children and Youth Programs

Children are registered for IACC youth programs by a parent or legal guardian through Network for Good. We collect only the information needed to run the program safely, as provided by the parent or guardian. Before posting any photo or video of a child on our website, social media, or other materials, we request consent from the child’s parent or guardian, who may withdraw that consent at any time. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

6. Scholarship Applicants

Applicants under 18 may apply only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. When you apply, we collect your name, contact information, Google account photo, and tax returns. Applications are submitted over a secure, encrypted connection. Applications submitted through the IACC website are not shared outside IACC. Within IACC, access is limited to those who need it to administer and evaluate applications. We retain information as long as needed for our programs, legal obligations, and records.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information.

8. Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message, or ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us below. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to our legal and recordkeeping obligations.

9. Third-Party Websites

Our website may link to other websites, including donation pages hosted by our service providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not control.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted with a new effective date.
